1 hour wait with only 5 tables being used. Worst steak I have ever had! It was like eating a 3/4” thick piece of jerky and it was there Friday night special with 4 shrimp for $21.99.also forgot to put in my brothers order.Never go there!
Food is average and very unfriendly service. Not what it use to be. Sad for sure.
I had lasagna and we did not like it
Very friendly and attentive staff. The burger was great!
Fantastic. Well worth the wait. Drove ninety miles. Go there when we are in the area.
Good place good food have to try it
The food is pretty good the portions seemed a little small to me but the waitress and bartender were very friendly
Okay, the waitress was nice and we had good service...the bruschetta chicken was not topped with home made bruschetta. It was some kind of mild salsa(probably pace) the chicken was cooked well, it had a nice flavor and was juicy, but if you say bruschetta it needs to be bruschetta! Now, the burger and the cheese curds were very good! I recommend the cowboy burger! And for anyone who is interested: easy Bruschetta recipe 20-24 oz fresh tomatoes (4-5 roma tomatoes or 3-4 regular tomatoes) diced small1 clove garlic , minced1/4 cup fresh basil chopped fine2 tablespoons olive oil1 tablespoon red wine vinegar1/2 teaspoon each salt & pepper (or to taste)
Terrible meal. Ordered fried chicken special, asked for white meat, was served a teeny-tiny thigh and tinier wing, almost no meat on either. Baked potato wasn’t even half-baked and cold. Salad wasn’t served before other food, had to ask server for it, even though we were the only customers there, and the dressing had a going-bad twang to it. My husband ordered a sandwich, and menu said free side dish with all sandwiches, but was charged for sweet potato fries. Over $25 for awful meal.
Awesome food, waitress was very cheerful, friendly, and showed respect! Will go back again.
Nice place, food was exalent! Also have few Iowa beers on tap.
Good food awesome atmosphere 👍✌
Absolutely fantabulous place with great food and wonderful staff. Small town bar and grill perfection.
Steak was great. Found hair in my green beans. Disgusting
Very nice place to stop for a lunch on Saturday. We shared the fried cheese curds and a grilled tenderloin sandwich. Service was great! It was pretty quiet, but it was also 2pm.
Great place to eat and watch sports. Sad they are closed on Monday so I can’t watch Monday night football but the food is good and great service.
I have never been a die-hard fan for First Street Grill, but I know many locals who just love it. Just an average sports bar and grill, but good for the small town area!
Great burgers! Small little place out of the way with great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Got to say it's good food!
Cute place. Liked the service and love the food!
Food was ok, but service was terrible. Management knew they would have large crowds the weekend of Fall Festival and yet had only one waitress and one bar tender. Am guessing kitchen staff was no better. Waitress and bartender did their best to keep up-no faulting them.
Good food good entertainment, when they have it !
Really good food and service
This is the best food I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant. I’ve been from New York to California & this is the best! The Texas toothpicks & ham steak are must tries. Burgers are amazing & the kids’ menu is also really good, especially for my picky eater. The waitress was beyond nice & I’ll make the hour drive to come back often!
Had one of the best burgers I have ever had while here
Very awesome! Fantastic staff and very friendly, nice environment. So fun!
Nice place but service is horrible! Take order (finally) 15 minutes later come back & no they don't have at least 2 items & no substitutes. Place not busy & tables after us have their food but not us. Been at least 40 minutes for a sandwich. Would hate to order a meal.
Friendly staff great food. Love the owner an what she has done.
GREAT food... big burger, cooked perfect, nice spices on the burger and onion rings. Friendly staff, clean place.
Horrible, worst Walleye of my 52 years on this rock, I should have known when she said it only comes fried. Lightly battered my a$$. Extreme wait, even after the waitress said it was a long wait, she couldn't even keep our beers full. 8 people in our group, 7 said it was the worst food they can remember. None of us have refined palettes either. Speaking of refined, the crack head waitress pronounced the white wine as Meerlott. Should have gone down the street and had a Tavern burger, at least I could have had a beer... avoid like it was botulism.
We always go there while in Keosaqua. Food is good, service is top notch, and the beer is cold!
This is a great place to eat, drink and fun the owner is really nice and the staff are too. I had a great time go visit you will love it.
Quick service, decent food, nothing too special.
This place has been a Top 10 finalist for Best Burger in IA multiple times. After eating here several times, I can see why. They have some very tasty burgers to choose from and a friendly staff.
The sandwich we ordered was so large that my husband and I could very easily cut it in half and share it and be fully satisfied. The wait staff was very helpful and offered suggestions of their specials at hand, and repeatedly came back to the table asking us how things were or if we needed anything. The Fisrt Street Grill was very clean, and unpleasantly decorated appropriately for the environment.
Highly recommend the burgers! All soups are homemade and always delicious! Also, the cheapest beer in town. Not to mention the 10 beers on tap!
Always good and more than I can actually eat but so good.
Awesome food, great atmosphere, downtown Keosauqua, Iowa, only sad thing is, it's closed on Sunday, but the food and the service is excellent. Reasonably priced, with huge cups of coffee!!
Good food with daily specials.
The food is good but the wait time is ridiculous. Every time I have eaten here it's taken 45 minutes or longer to get food, even when the place isn't packed with people.
Appetizers were undercooked even after telling waitress that what had happened 3 days before.
Can't believe this place is still open. Pizza had no flavor. Was super hot inside. As we were eating some people came in and just left after they felt the temperature.
Great example of good small town grill trying to do it right. Great burgers, nice staff, and good selection of beers on tap.
Good food, decent service
It took an hour and a half to get my food and I only ordered cheese curds
Would highly recommend First St. Grille if you are looking for a well cooked, hockey puck between hamburger buns and Mac and cheese without the cheese added. We also were served the special chicken dinner that included one severely undercooked fried chicken breast and one that was burned. Following our possibly salmonella-filled chicken, my dad felt sick. Definitely not worth the wait, which is a shame because the restaurant looks pretty nice on the inside.
Excellent food and service at a fair price.
Great tenderloin. Good service.
Fresh and quick food service
This is a nice Hole-in-the-Wall. They have friendly staff and a family friendly feel.
